FAQs
What are the videos like?
Weepy! ;) But that doesn't have to mean sad. My favorite thing (and strength) is highlighting the narrative and enhancing the emotional arc of your favorite memories. If the result makes you weepy (as is often the case), then so be it! Also, if you've watched any of the samples on the homepage, then you'll probably know that these videos tend towards a natural, informal, home-movie-like aesthetic (so may not be for you if you want something that looks like a movie trailer).

How does it work?
Excellent question! If you reach out and decide you want to move forward, then we'll start by creating a shared album that we both have access to (if you use an Android/PC, we can set up a Google Drive folder). There, you'll upload all the relevant footage, then I'll download it, work my magic, and upload the finished file to the same shared folder. Easy peasy!

How much does it cost?
$100 per edited minute, plus the music licensing fee. So, a two minute video would be $200, plus however much the song cost to license (this can range from $5 to $50, depending on the song — don't worry, we'll determine your song choice/cost before I begin editing!).

Doesn't my Phone already do this...?
Well, yes! Sort of. You may have noticed that these software-generated montages lack a certain... shall we say.... human touch. Maybe it's that the photos of the whale-watching excursion on which you became EXTREMELY ill are set to hilariously cheerful music, or maybe it's that the vacation montage ends with a screenshot you took of your flight details on your last day. Either way, it's something to chuckle at, but not to treasure.

Can you use my favorite song?
Alas, probably not. :( Most popular music has complicated (and $$$) licensing requirements. Though some videographers choose to use popular songs WITHOUT purchasing a license, it's risky. Also, it's very likely that social media platforms would mute any popular song from a video if/when you decided to share it there (speaking from experience here). Instead, I'll find you several licensed, legal options to choose from.

Can you use photos?
Live Photos, yes! They're actually video files, so they blend in pretty seamlessly. Regular ol' still photos look less natural in a video, but I can absolutely still include them if want me to.
